Halo: Campaign Evolved players can begin the game several days before its standard release by purchasing or upgrading to the Premium Edition.
Early access begins on July 23, while the regular version launches on July 28. Players do not need to place their order before the early-access period starts, as buying the Premium Edition at any point before the full release should provide immediate entry.
The Premium Edition costs $69.99 and includes up to five days of early access. It is available through the Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam storefronts.
Players who already own or have preordered the standard edition can upgrade for $20. Game Pass members can also pay $20 to unlock the Premium Edition benefits while accessing the base game through the subscription service.
In addition to early access, the Premium Edition includes the Foundry Armoury Pack. This cosmetic bundle contains five Master Chief armor appearances and six weapon skins.
Additional digital extras include an artbook, a short story, and a game manual. These items are included with the Premium Edition rather than the standard release.
Halo: Campaign Evolved will be available through Game Pass from launch day, but the regular subscription alone does not appear to provide early access. Subscribers must purchase the Premium Edition upgrade to begin playing before July 28.
The new release revisits the first Halo campaign, offering longtime fans another opportunity to experience Master Chief’s original adventure while introducing the story to a new audience.
Players interested only in the base campaign can wait for the standard launch or access it through Game Pass. Those who want to start on July 23 and receive the additional cosmetic and digital content will need the Premium Edition or its separate upgrade.
