Ubisoft has released Title Update 1.0.6 for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft Connect, and Steam. The patch introduces two frequently requested cosmetic options while addressing a long list of gameplay, quest, interface, visual, and performance problems.
The main addition is a new hide-gear setting that lets players remove Edward Kenway’s large ranged tool from his back during ordinary exploration. The item remains fully functional, making the change purely visual. Players can also toggle Edward’s hood during a Leap of Faith, correcting a limitation that had frustrated fans since launch.
Update 1.0.6 increases the number of available autosaves from five to ten, giving players more opportunities to return to an earlier point in their journey. On PC, Ubisoft corrected an issue that could lock cinematics to 30 FPS after selecting a custom graphics configuration based on a low preset.
The patch also adds a missing tutorial for throwing money and removes unwanted downloadable-content notifications that could appear when beginning a new game. Several movement problems have been corrected, including an issue that caused Edward to slide after fast travelling to a synchronized viewpoint and another that prevented parkour after remapping the sprint button.
Combat improvements address unreliable leg sweeps, inactive elite enemies, interrupted rope-dart actions, delayed guard reactions, and situations where certain pirate targets could not be attacked properly through smoke. Enemy vessels should now damage the Jackdaw more consistently during angled ramming attempts, while naval aiming and boarding animations have received additional corrections.
World fixes cover locations in Kingston, Havana, Mariguana Island, Nassau, and other regions. Players should no longer become trapped between environmental objects, enter continuous free fall near certain treasure chests, or travel to viewpoints that have not been synchronized. A missing warning related to restricted areas and captured forts has also been restored.
Progression fixes include a correction for the Kraken wheel price and the timing of a ship codex unlock. Ubisoft also repaired a Mayan Armor issue that could prevent players from obtaining the reward when a required stone had been collected earlier than expected.
Several menus and interface elements have been improved. The update adjusts Simplified Chinese fonts, fixes Arabic alignment problems, corrects ally ship icons, and prevents a possible soft lock when moving to the map while viewing a codex entry. A visual accessibility background should also stop appearing incorrectly during Modern Rift sequences.
Animation, camera, underwater lighting, ragdoll behavior, environmental geometry, armor clipping, and PlayStation 5 Pro reconstruction settings received fixes. Ubisoft additionally corrected misplaced combat effects, visual problems during tavern fights, missing guard sounds, and audio that could continue playing from an unavailable hideout upgrade.
The update resolves numerous quest-specific issues involving James Kidd, naval targets, stealth objectives, missing mission instructions, unavailable activities, disappearing items, and characters becoming trapped on environmental paths. A problem that could affect autosave files while participating in one side quest during a main mission has also been addressed.
Download sizes vary significantly by platform. The Xbox Series X|S version is approximately 15.2 GB, while the PlayStation 5 update is around 5.03 GB. Ubisoft Connect requires roughly 3.7 GB, and the Steam download is approximately 1.8 GB.
Title Update 1.0.6 does not introduce major new missions or locations, but its requested cosmetic controls and broad collection of technical improvements should make Black Flag Resynced more comfortable and reliable across its supported platforms.
